'Tis the Season of New Year's Resolutions!

Many people begin their New Year with the goal to eat better and exercise regularly, both of which are great goals! As you begin to make changes to your routine, we suggest doing something that is maintainable. If you need to take small steps to better your health, then begin with that. Try to add vegetables to at least one of your daily meals, cook with olive oil instead of butter, drink water more frequently throughout the day, or try walking 30 minutes every other day of the week. Don’t overwhelm yourself with too many changes right away.
In order to make these goals more attainable, make a few changes to make it easier on yourself: Make a shopping list and don’t go to the store hungry. Set out your workout clothes in the morning to make it easier to get ready. Trying add more color to your meals. Turn cooking into a fun activity with family and friends. Find a friend who will exercise with you and help keep you accountable. Be kind to your body and allow it time to get used to your new routine.
